Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchanges’ (ADX) general index inched down 3.14 points, or 0.07%, to close at 4,467.43 points on Wednesday, pressured by the telecommunication and real estate sectors.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 52.3 million shares, while the market’s trading value hit AED 114.86 million.
The consumer staples sector dropped 3.09% after Agthia decreased by the same percentage.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, shed 0.91 each.
The real estate sector sank 0.42%, as Eshraq Properties went down 2.74%.
On the other hand, the energy sector grew 1%, as Adnoc Distribution, Dana Gas, and Taqa rose 1.21%, 0.95%, and 0.84%, respectively.
The banks sector increased by 0.26% after Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) gained 1.33%.
