Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bearish performance on Thursday for the third session in row, weighed down by the fall of telecom, banks and real estate sectors.
The general index retreated 1.77% or 80.05 points to stand at 4,446.21 points.
Trading volume reached 176.737 million shares on Thursday, compared to 226.33 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 342.529 million, compared to AED 396.26 million.
The telecom sector was the worst performer with a 2.22% decline as Etisalat levelled down 2.22%.
The banks sector retreated 1.99% after First Gulf Bank (FGB), National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) sank 3.08%, 1.32% and 1% respectively.
The real estate sector slid1.61% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties levelled down 2.63% and 1.58% respectively.
Asmak was the value leader with a turnover of AED 80.057 million, while Eshraq was the most active stock after generating 45.3 million shares.
