ADX continues losing streak Thursday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance for the third successive session on Thursday, weighed down by the fall of the banks sector.

The main index fell 2.91% or 133.46 points to reach 4,457.30 points.

Trading volume reached 88.68 million shares on Thursday, compared to 85.81 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 162.9 million, compared to AED 220.57 million.

The banks sector fell 5.26% as First Gulf Bank (FGB) and the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) sank 8.7% and 4.21%, respectively.

On the other hand, the real estate sector rose 0.4% as Aldar Properties grew 0.85%.

United Arab Bank (UAB) was the most active stock and value leader after generating AED 44.94 million from the exchange of 23.53 million shares.
