ADX continues rising for 2nd session in row

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) maintained an upward trend for the second session in row on Tuesday, backed by leading sectors especially the real estate.

 The general index rose 1.48% or 61.11 points to close at 4,197.10 points.

Trading volume grew to 93.40 million shares on Tuesday from 72.6 million shares on Monday. Likewise, turnover rose to AED 308.3 million ($84 million) from AED 226.34 million ($61.63 million.

The real estate sector advanced 4.40% as Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties increased 4.61% and 4% in a row.

The energy sector levelled up 4.10% after Dana Gas grew 5.13%.

The telecom sector gained 2.91%, backed by Etisalat which also went up 2.91%.

The banks sector added 0.75% after Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank rose 3.63% and 1.49%, respectively.

On the flipside, the investment and consumer stables sector fell 2.27% and 0.36% in a row.
