ADX continues uptrend for 4th session

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued to see a positive performance for the fourth successive session on Monday, pushed up by the rise of the energy and banks sectors.

The general index advanced 0.58% or 26.42 points to reach 4,575.84 points.

Trading volume reached 39.51 million shares on Monday, compared to 32.6 million shares on Sunday. Turnover stood at AED 114.75 million, compared to 146.34 million.

The services sector topped gainers after adding 4.2%, spurred by Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) which grew 11.11%.

The energy sector went up 3.3% after Dana Gas and TAQA grew 3.64% and 1.96% respectively.

The banks sector recovered 0.54% as National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) increased 2.99% and 2.39 respectively.

On the flipside, the real estate sector fell 0.10% as RAK Properties retreated 1.67%.

In this two-session week, the index went up 1.74% compared to last week’s closing at 4,497.64 points.
