Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose for the seventh session in a row amid low turnover on Sunday, spurred by gains of the banks and energy sectors.
The general index added 0.11% or 4.79 points to close at 4,246.52 points.
Trading volume stood at 54.30 million shares, down from 188.60 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover reached AED 74.36 million ($20.244 million), compared to AED 1.74 billion ($475 million).
The banks sector rose 0.64% as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank advanced 3.45%, 1.77% and 15%, respectively.
The energy sector also advanced 0.09% after TAQA increased 9.09%.
On the flipside, the real estate sector declined 0.94% dragged by Aldar Properties that retreated 1.30%.
Aldar was the value leader after generating AED 21 million, while Eshraq Properties was the most active company by volume after trading 22 million shares.
