Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) maintained its positive performance for the third successive day on Thursday, backed by the rise of telecom and insurance sectors.
The main index increased 0.34% or 15.87 points to reach 4,653.39 points.
Trading volume reached 147.76 million shares on Thursday, compared to 81.17 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 233.47 million, compared to AED 137.92 million.
The insurance sector topped gainers with a 3.8% rise as Emirates Insurance Company (EIC), Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC), and AXA Green Crescent Insurance (GCIC) went up 15%, 14.8%, and 6.7%, respectively.
The telecom sector added 1.35% as Etisalat gained 1.35%.
The services sector rose 0.6% after Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) grew 1.7%.
On the flipside, the investment sector led losers with a 1.12% decline as Waha Capital sank 1.8%.
