Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance for the fourth session in a row on Wednesday on gains by the energy, telecom and banks sectors.
The general index gained 0.2% or 8.41 points to reach 4,148.63 points.
Turnover reached AED 208.5 million ($57 million) on Wednesday, compared to AED 167.4 million ($45.5 million). Trading volume stood at 156.08 million shares, compared to 116.54 million shares.
The real estate sector topped gainers after adding 2.16%, followed by TAQA and Dana Gas at 2.5% and 2.08%, respectively.
The telecom sector advanced 0.62% after Etisalat also rose 0.62%.
The banks sector increased 0.07% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and First Gulf Bank (FGB) levelled up 1.85% and 0.42% in a row.
On the flipside, the real estate sector retreated 0.8% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties declined 4.92% and 0.42%, respectively.
