Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) erased its early gains and closed Tuesday in the red zone, dragged down by the fall of telecom stocks.
The main index fell 1.65% or 76.47 points to reach 4,552.09 points.
Trading volume reached 173.78 points on Tuesday, compared to 137.36 million shares on Monday. Turnover amounted to AED 279.47 million, compared to AED 210.39 million.
The telecom sector was the worst performer with a 4.09% decline as Etisalat sank 4.09%.
The banks sector slid 1.14% after the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) lost 1.8%.
Eshraq Properties, which decreased 2.5%, was the most active stock after trading 75.81 million shares worth AED 90.22 million.
