Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened in red on Thursday, weighed by the banks and telecom sectors.
The general index fell 0.8% or 32.45 points to reach 4,032.69 points by 10:15am UAE time.
The banks sector declined 1.5%, weighed by First Gulf Bank which fell 2.9%.
The telecom sector retreated 0.74% after Etisalat levelled down 0.74%.
The general index shrugged off the rise of real estate, energy and insurance sectors by 2.2%, 1.8 and 0.03%, respectively.
The market saw trading of 13.24 million shares through 147 transactions, with turnover of AED 10.87 million.
Manazel Real Estate was the most active company after trading 6.6 million shares, with trading volume reaching AED 4.07 million.
