Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended the week in a decline, on the back of the banks sector.
The Abu Dhabi General Index (ADI) lost 1%, or 40 points, and closed at the level of 4,550.93 points.
The banks sector index went down by 1.13%, as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), and Union National Bank (UNB) decreased by 1.8%, and 1.7%, respectively.
Likewise, the telecom sector fell 1.09%, as Etisalat declined by the same percentage, while the energy sector index slipped 0.94%, as Dana Gas lost 1.5%.
Traded values rose to AED 644.29 million this week, compared to AED 522.38 million in the week before, while volumes amounted to 459.4 million shares, up from 334.27 million shares in the previous week.
