Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined this week, for the first time in more than a month, dragged down by the fall of blue chips in the real estate sector.
The main index lost 1.46% or 67.02 points, closing at 4526.56 points.
A total of 169.76 million shares were exchanged this week at a turnover of AED 580.08 million, down from 250.858 million shares traded last week at AED 673.98 million.
The real estate sector dropped 3.02%, pushed down by Eshraq and Aldar losing 4% and 3.13% respectively.
Energy went down 1.15% with Taqa dropping 5.77%.
Likewise, banks shed 1.37% on the back of NBAD and FGB which declined 4.31% and 1.24% respectively.
The telecomm sector fell 1%, with Etisalat decreasing at the same percentage.
