Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its losing streak for the fourth successive session on Tuesday, weighed down by the fall of energy and banks stocks.
The general index sank 0.19% or 8.68 points to reach 4,562.99 points.
Trading volume reached 144.21 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 87.95 million shares on Monday. Turnover amounted to AED 193.45 million, compared to AED 148.064 million.
The investment sector retreated 2.41% after Waha Capital levelled down 2.56%.
The energy sector tumbled 0.87% as TAQA slid 3.33%.
The banks sector went down 0.58% due to a decline in Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) by 7%.
The real estate sector sank 0.01% as RAK Properties and Aldar Properties levelled down 1.59% and 0.44%, respectively.
On the other hand, the telecom sector rose 0.55% as Etisalat went up 0.55%.
The services sector topped gainers with a 1.8% rise after Abu Dhabi Aviation Co gained 10.29%.
Eshraq Properties, which added 2.54%, was the most active stock after trading 60.29 million shares worth AED 72.23 million.
