ADX down to 1-month low Monday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance for the fourth successive session on Monday, weighed down by the fall of six sectors led by the real estate and telecom.

The main index reached 4,185.22 points after losing 1.19% or 50.46 points, its highest losses since 17 October.

Trading volume reached 231.56 million shares on Monday, compared to 424.93 million shares on Sunday. Turnover stood at AED 349.72 million, compared to AED 373.09 million.

The real estate sector went down 3% as Aldar Properties and RAK Properties decreased 3.2% each.

The telecom sector slid 2.25% as Etisalat retreated 2.25%. Likewise, the energy sector sank 2.25% after TAQA tumbled 2.25%, while the banks sector decreased 1.2% as National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) levelled down 5.2%.
