ADX edges up Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Sunday, spurred by the rise of blue chips.

The main index rose 0.41% or 18.26 points to reach 4,443.66 points.

The energy sector retreated 2.94% as Dana Gas and TAQA went down 3.13% and 2.04%, respectively.

The real estate sector increased 1.21% after Eshraq Properties levelled up 10.47%. The telecom sector grew 0.58% as Sudatel and Etisalat added 1.92% and 0.58%, respectively.

The investment sector went up 0.52% as Waha Capital grew 0.58%.

The banks sector increased 0.2% as Invest Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), Sharjah Islamic Bank, and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) climbed 4.17%, 2.58%, 2.44%, and 1.28%, respectively.

The market generated AED 116.48 million from the exchange of 104.47 million shares through 1,193 transactions.

Eshraq Properties was the most active stock after generating AED 57.39 million from the exchange of 61.76 million shares.
