Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed the week ended 7 February on a positive note, supported by the banks sector.
The ADX’s general index rose 67.29 points, or 1.33%, to finish the week at 5,112.14 points.
Over the course of the week, the ADX’s trading volume reached 192.296 million shares generating a turnover of AED 1.324 billion.
The banks sector rose 2.63% after the heavyweight First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) hiked 3.66%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector tumbled 2.41%, pressured by Aldar Properties, which fell 2.52%.
Meanwhile, the energy sector declined 1.47% as Dana Gas retreated 0.56%.
The telecommunications sector and its sole stock, Etisalat, fell 0.12% each.
