Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of purchasing power on blue-chip stocks.
The ADX’s general index edged up 14.34 points, or 0.14%, to 5,362.83 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 86.106 million shares exchanged through 1,978 transactions at a turnover of AED 196.503 million.
Market capitalisation gained AED 888 million and closed the session at AED 547.104 billion.
The real estate, the telecommunication, and the banks sectors added 0.57%, 0.34%, and 10.24, respectively.
On the other hand, the energy sector was the sole decliner, tumbling 0.85%.
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), up 0.50% to AED 15.96, outperformed blue-chip stocks in terms of liquidity with a turnover of AED 49.579 million.
Meanwhile, Dana Gas, down 0.95% to AED 1.05, was the most heavily traded stock with a traded volume of 36.547 million shares.
