Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note.
The ADX’s general index added 39.55 points, or 0.79%, to 5,075.49 points.
Trading volume amounted to 37.21 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 120.88 million through 1,550 transactions.
Market capitalisation gained AED 3.52 billion and closed the session at AED 519.59 billion.
The real estate sector increased by 3.28% as Aldar Properties jumped by 3.47%, followed by the telecommunication sector that rose by 1.35%.
Similarly, the banks and energy sectors added 0.43% and 0.41%, respectively.
RAK Insurance’s stock headed the winners after jumping by 14.97%, while Gulf Cement’s stock led the losers after falling by 9.79%.
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) was the most active stock by value with a turnover of AED 28.65 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock by volume with 11.42 million traded shares.
