Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Monday’s session at near-stable, showing a slight recovery from Sunday's declines, on the back of Etisalat's rise.
The general index edged up 0.01% or 0.42 point to 4,498.71 points.
Etisalat was among the market's gainers, adding 0.56%, pushing the telecommunications sector higher.
Turnover increased to AED 86.66 million on Monday from AED 75 million on Sunday, whereas traded volume fell to 60.87 million shares versus 72.7 million shares on Sunday. A total of 956 transactions were executed on Monday.
On the other hand, other leading sectors dropped, led by real estate with 1.06%, dragged down by Eshraq, Manazel, and Aldar, with 3.70%,1.79%, and 0.83%, respectively.
Moreover, the banks sector slipped 0.04%, pressured by Finance House with 1.73%, Bank of Sharjah with 0.8%, and Sharjah Islamic with 0.71%.
Eshraq’s stock was the most active in terms of value and volume, generating AED 13.8 million, after trading 17.4 million shares, through 124 transactions.
