ADX ends Monday up; market cap gains AED 19.79bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went up by 0.41% or 18.07 points to close Monday's trading session at 4,431.33 points, maintaining its positive performance on Sunday, 16 August.

Turnover amounted to AED 474.90 million after 184.09 million shares had been exchanged through 2,841 transactions.

The market cap value climbed by AED 19.79 billion to AED 670.9 billion, compared to AED 651.11 billion during the previous session.

The energy sector topped the gainers with 2.72%, followed by the real estate sector with 1.60%.

National Marine Dredging Co (NMDC) came on top of the rising stocks with 15%, while Waha Capital led the losing stocks with 4.93%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 117.16 million, while Aldar Properties posted the highest trading volume of 43.41 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) headed the rising blue chips with 1.33%, while Dana Gas led the losing blue chips with 1%.
