ADX ends Monday up; market cap records AED 689.52bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) inched up by 0.59% or 26.95 points to settle at 4,569.91 points by the end of Monday's trading session, maintaining its upward performance on Thursday, 20 August.

A total of 204.20 million shares were exchanged through 4,179 transactions valued at AED 442.55 million.

The market cap value recorded AED 689.52 billion, up by around AED 3.11 billion from AED 686.41 billion during the previous session.

The energy sector headed the gainers with 2.19%, while the real estate sector came on top of the losers with 1.60%.

At the same time, the telecommunications sector remained unchanged.

Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (Bildco) led the green zone with 14.94%, while Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Co topped the red zone with 5%.

Aldar Properties, down 1.89%, was the most active stock with 50.41 million shares traded at AED 107.01 million.

Dana Gas headed the rising blue chips with 3.52%.
