ADX ends Sunday in red

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has seen a bearish trend on Sunday, dragged down by the declining blue-chip stocks.

The ADX’s general index went down by8.84 points, or 0.71%, closing the session at 5,105.25 points.

The bourse’s liquidity stood at AED 80.676 million after seeing a trading volume amounted of 44.249 million shares exchanged through 727 transactions.

Market capitalisation lost AED 1.32 billion and closed the session at AED 524.027 billion.

The telecommunication and the banks sectors slipped 0.48% and 0.21% each, while the real estate and the energy sectors added 0.85% and 0.72%, respectively.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) fell by 1.63% to AED 8.51, while Aldar Properties and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) rose by 0.92% to AED 2.18 and 0.19% to AED 5.19, respectively.
