ADX ends Sunday in red

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The general index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) edged lower by 0.13% or 6.54 points at the end of Sunday’s trading session, closing at the level of 5,029.93 points.

The market’s turnover recorded AED 99.51 million after 35.01 million shares were traded through 747 transactions.

Meanwhile, the market cap value increased by AED 750 million to stand at AED 517.07 billion from AED 516.32 billion on Thursday.

The real estate segment was down by 1.26%, whereas the telecom segment inched up by 0.85%.

Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC) headed the fallers with 7.41%, whereas Ras Al Khaimah National Insurance Company (RAK Insurance) topped the risers with 15%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) saw the highest liquidity of AED 23.93 million, while Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAK Cement) was the most active stock through the exchange of 16.88 million shares.

As regards the blue chips, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) rose by 1.97%, whereas Aldar Properties went down by 1.38%.
