ADX ends Sunday with marginal gains

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) inched up 0.05% or 2.38 points to close Sunday's trading session at 4,537.53 points, maintaining its upward performance on Thursday, 27 August.

Turnover amounted to AED 266.53 million after 76.77 million shares had been traded through 1,593 transactions.

The banks sector came on top of the risers with 0.63%, while the energy segment led the decliners with 1.04%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) topped the green zone with 1.05%, while Ras Al Khaimah Co. for White Cement and Construction Materials led the red zone with 4.92%.

Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 39.39 million shares traded at AED 79.34 million.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) headed the rising blue chips with 0.5%, while Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution PJSC (ADNOC Distribution) topped the losing blue chips with 1.25%.
