ADX ends Tuesday in green

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed the week’s mid-session in the green, breaking the declines seen over the past two sessions.

The general index increased 0.27% or 12.33 points to 4,638.75 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 138.5 million on Tuesday, up from AED 129.90 million on Monday, while traded volume dropped to 55.14 million shares from 70 million.

The banks sector bolstered the market after adding 0.49% on the back of First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), which grew 1.35%, while the energy sector grew 0.47% after TAQA and Dana Gas gained 1.82% and 1.32%, respectively.

The real estate sector added 0.13% after Manazel Real Estate and Eshraq Properties increased 1.69% and 1.32%, respectively.

On the flipside, the telecom sector and its stock Etisalat lost 0.28% each.

Waha Capital was the most active in terms of volume with 16.7 million shares traded, while FAB was the value leader with AED 42.57 million.
