ADX ends Tuesday up on real estate

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Tuesday on a positive note backed by the real estate sector and shrugging off declines in the energy and banking sectors.

The general index edged up 0.05% or 2.47 points and closed at 4,542.74 points. Turnover reached AED 220.02 million up from Monday’s AED 208.45 million, while traded volume increased to 123.84 million shares traded against 56.09 million in the previous session.

The real estate sector gained 1.07% backed by Eshraq and Aldar which grew 1.27% and 1.12%, respectively.

On the flipside, the energy sector shed 0.37% after TAQA lost 1.85%, while the banking sector slipped 0.11% after First Gulf Bank (FGB) declined 1.19%.
