ADX ends Tuesday up on selective purchases

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Tuesday’s trading session in green territory, pushed up by selective purchases on blue-chip stocks.

The general index grew 0.17%, or 8.91 points, ending the mid-week session at 5,126.86 points.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 76.41 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 184.62 million through 1,585 transactions.

By the end of the session, the bourse’s market capitalisation increased by AED 10.83 billion, recording AED 523.38 billion.

The energy sector topped gainers after adding 1.44% as ADNOC for Distribution and Dana Gas grew 3.45% and 2.31%, respectively.

Similarly, the real estate sector levelled up 0.23% on the back of Aldar Properties’s 0.53% increase.

On the negative side, the investment sector headed decliners and fell 2.14% as Al Waha Capital plunged 2.34%, followed by the services sector, which retreated 0.28% after National Marine Dredging Company levelled down 2.6%.
