Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose at the end of Wednesday’s trading session on the back of the rising blue-chip stocks.
The ADX’s general index closed the session up by 1.27% at 4,974.84 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 46.377 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 207.273 million, versus 30.613 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 137.718 million on Tuesday.
The banks sector led the gainers with 1.26%, backed by First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) that edged up 0.95%, followed by the real estate sector that rose 3.21%.
The telecommunication sector went up 1.12% after Etisalat rose by the same percentage, while the energy sector increased by 1.23% as Dana gas grew 2.61%.
Market capitalisation closed the session at AED 508.203 billion, gaining AED 6.5 billion.
