ADX ends Wednesday in green

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday with positive performance after its main index rose 14.79 points, or 0.30%, reaching 4,970.81 points.

The ADX’s trading volume stood at 31.68 million shares exchanged through 1,414 transactions, generating a turnover of AED 124.650 million.

The consumer staples sector led gainers with 1.14%, while the banks sector inched up 0.56% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank’s (ADCB) stock rose 1.05%, while First Abu Dhabi Bank’s (FAB) stock increased 0.56%.

On the flipside, the real estate sector levelled down 0.71%, while the real energy sector dipped 0.42% after Dana Gas’ stock lost 0.75%.

Emirates Telecommunications Group’s (Etisalat) stock led the bourse in terms of trading value with AED 41.41 million, while the stock of Aldar Properties posted the highest trading volume after 9.099 million shares were exchanged.
