Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) benchmark index closed Wednesday with positive performance after gaining 5.94 points, or 0.12%, to 5,143.24 points.
The ADX’s traded volume hit 36.07 million shares, via 1,704 exchanged transactions, with a turnover of AED 190.686 million.
The services sector was the best performer after growing 1.45%, while the real estate sector inched up 0.49%, boosted by the stocks of Aldar Properties and RAK Properties which added 0.65% and 0.64%, respectively.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, levelled up 0.47%, each.
The energy sector edged up 0.07% after Dana Gas’ stock rose 0.22%.
On the flipside, the banks sector decreased 0.10% as the heavyweight First Abu Dhabi Bank’s (FAB) stock went down 0.13%.
FAB’s stock generated the highest liquidity with AED 46.82 million.
