ADX ends Wednesday on positive note

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Wednesday’s session up by 0.39% or 19.72 points to close at 5,103.10 points.

The trading volume amounted to 12.78 million shares through 323 transactions with the liquidity totalling AED 30.11 million.

The market cap value gained AED 1.89 billion to reach AED 524.75 billion when compared to AED 522.86 billion on Tuesday.

The real estate sector led the winners with 0.84%, followed by the banks. the energy and the telecom sectors, which added 0.49% and 0.31%, and 0.12%, respectively.

The United Arab Bank (UAB) headed the risers with 13.1%, whereas Al Qudra Holding was the top faller with 8.71%.

International Holdings Company showed the highest turnover of ED 7.44 million, while the National Investor led the trading activity with 2.92 million shares.

The blue chips of Aldar Properties inched up by 0.93%, whereas Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) edged lower by 0.13%.
