ADX ends Wednesday’s session down

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined by 0.05% or 2.59 points at the end of Wednesday, closing the session at the level of 5,043.61 points.

The bourse showed a turnover of AED 167.83 million after 64.58 million shares were exchanged through 1,617 transactions.

The market cap value tumbled by AED 360 million to reach AED 515.61 billion when compared to AED 515.97 billion on Tuesday.

The telecom sector edged down with 0.37%, while the energy sector added 1.15%.

Ras Al Khaimah Cement (RAK Cement) came on top of the losers with 2.81%, while Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Co was the top gainer with 6.54%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) saw the highest liquidity of AED 69.10 million, while Dana Gas led the trading activity through 13.51 million shares.

As for the leading stocks, Aldar Properties went down with 1.35%, while Dana Gas was up 1.52%.
