ADX ends in green amid liquidity rise

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) managed to close in the green on Thursday, spurred by the rise of leading stocks rose and liquidity recovery.  

The general index gained 0.73% or 31.12 points to reach 4,297.30 points.

The turnover surged 148% to AED 265.51 ($72.272 million) on Thursday from AED 107 million ($29.125 million) on Wednesday. Likewise, trading volume jumped to 190.64 million shares from 88.83 million shares.

The energy sector levelled up 4.15% after TAQA and Dana Gas advanced 4.44% and 4.08%, respectively.

The real estate sector added 1.60% as Aldar Properties increased 1.75%.

The telecom sector went up 1.26%, backed by Etisalat.

The banks sector grew 0.37% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and National Bank of Abu Dhabi rose 1.23% and 0.76% in a row.

The services sector was the only decliner after falling 0.14%.

The real estate sector was the value leader after generating AED 119.08 million, backed by Aldar which accounted for 74% of the total trading.
