Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed the week ended 11 April on a positive note, after adding 25.91 points, or 0.51%, to finish the week at 5,058.09 points, on the back of the energy and telecommunications sectors.
Over the course of this week, 310.747 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of AED 902.374 million.
The energy sector grew 4.74% as Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) soared by 8.40%.
Similarly, the telecommunications sector and its sole stock Etisalat advanced by 2.70%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector fell by 3.68%, pressured by Aldar Properties which went down 2.79%.
Meanwhile, the banks sector retreated 0.22% as the heavyweight First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) tumbled 2.11%.
During the week, the ADX’s market capitalisation gained AED 8.6 billion to AED 514.127 billion, compared to AED 505.554 billion a week earlier.
