ADX ends week in red; Market cap loses AED 5bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The general index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined by 66.73 points, or 1.29%, to 5,087.21 points in a week.

Market capitalisation shrank by AED 4.94 billion to AED 532.15 billion over the week, compared to AED 537.09 billion in the previous week.

The banking sector shed 1.79% and the telecom sector lost 1.22%, while the energy sector added 3.49% and the real estate sector gained 0.48%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Etisalat, and Adnoc Distribution levelled down by 3.35%, 1.9%, 1.23%, and 0.96%, respectively. Dana Gas shed 0.88% and Aldar Properties fell 0.45%.

On the other hand, Taqa soared 52.2% and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank rose by 1.16%.
