ADX ends week on gains

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance during the week that ended on Thursday 3 August on the back of major sectors, led by energy and banks.

The Abu Dhabi General Index (ADI) added 0.61% or 27.75 points, and closed at the level of 4,596.03 points.

The energy sector registered a 2.62% rise, on the back of TAQA, while banks gained 2.06%, as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) rose by 2.35%, while Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) went up 0.82%.

Similarly, the real estate sector increased by 1.24%, as RAK Properties and Aldar surged 4.48% and 1.28%, respectively.

Traded values increased this week to AED 929.68 million from AED 646.11 million last week, while volumes reached 375.3 million shares compared to 297.79 million shares in the week before.

The market capital grew by AED 152 million to AED 442.09 billion compared to AED 441.9 billion in the previous week.
