ADX ends week with slim losses

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) registered its third consecutive weekly losses, pressured by the fall of blue chip stocks.

The general index fell 0.1%, or 4.36 points, to 4,876.68 points.

Turnovers decreased to AED 107.43 million, down from 811.33 million last week, with traded volumes declining from 236.08 million shares to 33.85 million shares by the end of Thursday’s session.

The telecom sector index lost 1.28%, with Etisalat reported losses at the same percentage.

The real estate sector also went down 2.4%, with Aldar losing 2.5%.

Meanwhile, the losses of Dana Gas and Taqa by 2.6% and 3.81%, led the energy sector to record weekly losses of 1.7%.

Banks and investment indices rose by 0.57%, and 2.7%, respectively.
