ADX erases early losses Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the negative performance it witnessed in early trades on Monday, backed by blue chips in the real estate and energy sectors which closed higher.

The general index went up 0.92% or 39.2 points to reach 4,301.03 points.

The real estate sector topped risers after adding 2.05% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties gained 8.08% and 1.2% respectively.

The energy sector gained 1.43% as Dana Gas levelled up 1.8%. The banks sector also grew 1.37% after First Gulf Bank (FGB) increased 2.16%.

On the flipside, the industrial sector fell 0.06% as Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) retreated 1.38%.

Turnover amounted to AED 202.77 million on Monday, compared to AED 192.74 million on Sunday. Trading volume reached 132.27 million shares, compared to 110.59 million shares.
