Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its rise for the second session in row, backed by leading sectors especially the telecom and energy ones.
The general index rose 0.69% or 31.39 points to reach 4,574.13 points.
Trading volume reached 87.37 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 123.84 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover stood at AED 237.93 million, compared to AED 220.01 million.
The telecom sector was the best performer after adding 3.68%, spurred by Etisalat which was the value leader after generating AED 73.20 million.
The energy sector went up 2.16% as TAQA topped gainers with a 3.77% rise, in addition to Dana Gas which recovered 1.75%.
The real estate sector advanced 1.47% after Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties grew 1.48% and 1.25% respectively.
On the other hand, the banks sector was the worst performer after falling 0.93%, pressured down by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) which slid 2.27% and 1.2% respectively.
