Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined for the fourth day in a row, amid a collective fall by its sectors.
The index shrank 1.96% or 87.70 points to the level of 4,382.11 points.
Trading volume reached 67.7 million shares, compared to 101.32 million shares exchanged yesterday.
Turnover decreased to AED 125.32 million from AED 174.88 million on Monday.
Banks was the worst performing sector with a 3.11% fall, as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and First Gulf Bank dropped by 4.32% and 3.92% respectively.
Real estate also trended 2.22% lower as Aldar Properties slid 2.67%. Aldar stock, however, generated AED 27 million to record the day’s heaviest turnover.
The energy sector fell 0.38%, stung by TAQA which lost 1.64%.
