ADX falls at Tuesday’s close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) retreated 0.31% or 13.46 points to end Tuesday’s session at 4,373.88 points.

The market’s turnover reached AED 124.65 million, while trading volume stood at 68.54 million shares.

The banks sector fell 0.82% as it was affected by First Gulf Bank, the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank which lost 1.74%, 0.68%, and 0.32% respectively.

Meanwhile, the energy sector was the top gainer with a growth of 2.98%, on the back of TAQA and Dana Gas which levelled up 7.41% and 1.82% respectively.

The real estate sector inched up 0.06%, as Eshraq rose 2.56% to achieve the highest liquidity of AED 27.4 million.

ADX saw negative performance on Tuesday despite the highest levels oil prices have seen in a year, capital market analyst Raed Diab said.

The market’s main index is trading a level close to the support of 4,350 points, he added.
