Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened Wednesday’s early trades in the red, weighed down by the fall of five sectors led by the telecom and real estate sectors.
The general index slid 0.77% or 34.75 points to stand at 4,505.16 points by 10:25am UAE time.
The telecom sector led losers after falling 2.14% as Etisalat retreated 2.14%.
The real estate sector levelled down 0.6% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties retreated 0.9% and 0.7% respectively. Similarily, the energy sector declined 0.37% as TAQA tumbled 1.82%.
The banks sector sank 0.23% due to a decline in National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) by 1.9%.
Turnover reached AED 21.93 million after trading of 25.77 million shares through 201 transactions.
