Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) levelled down 0.19% or 8.56 points to reach 4,518.45 points by the week ended 18 August.
The telecom sector led the decliners by 0.5%, dragged by Etisalat which lost 0.5%.
The real estate sector was up 2.2%, on the back of Aldar Properties which gained 2.16%.
ADX’s turnover grew to AED 867.64 million over the week as compared to AED 627.62 million a week ago, while trading volume increased to 363.10 million shares from 231.339 million in the past week.
ADX market is forecast to see positive performance in the coming week with expectations to limit oil production ahead of the OPEC meeting, capital market analyst Mohamad AL-Shimiry said.
In the coming trading sessions, the main index of ADX is expected to approach 4,560 points then head to 4,600 points, the analyst added.
