Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) lost 1.80% or 83.86 points to reach 4,596.39 points in the week which ended 2 March, compared to the previous week.
The turnover shrank to AED 1.068 billion this week from AED 1.120 billion in the past week, as trading volume decreased to 572.771 million shares from 744.571 million a week ago.
The telecom segment dropped 6.13% this week, dragged by Etisalat.
The real estate sector retreated by 1.57%, in line with the 1.64% fall of Aldar Properties.
Both ADX’s banks and energy segments went down by 0.08% and 0.46%, respectively.
The main index is expected to approach 4,550 points and 4,600 points in the coming week, CFA Institute member Mohamed Radwan said.
He told Mubasher that one of the other major aspects that affected the market recently was the decline in oil prices.
