ADX falls on Aldar, Etisalat at open

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened Monday’s trading session in the red, pressured down by the fall of nine stocks led by Aldar Properties and Etisalat.

The main index levelled down 0.3% or 13.35 points to reach 4,462.97 points.

The services sector was the worst performer with a 1.8% decline, weighed down by National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels (NCTH) which decreased 9.8%.  The real estate sector also slid 0.62% after Aldar retreated 0.75%.

The telecom sector went down 0.25% as Etisalat decreased 0.25%. Likewise, the banks sector fell 0.2% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) sank 1.5%.

Turnover reached AED 23 million generated from the exchange of 20 million shares through 256 transactions.
