ADX falls on Wednesday; market cap loses AED 10bn

UAE – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) retreaded by 2.84% to 4,669.66 points by the end of Wednesday’s trading session, reversing its upward performance on Tuesday.

A total of 38.47 million shares were exchanged through 1,234 transactions at a value of AED 136.68 million.

The market cap value decreased by AED 10.81 billion to AED 493.31 billion, compared to AED 504.12 million during the previous session.

Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) topped the red zone with 3.59%, while Ras Al Khaimah National Insurance Company (RAK Insurance) came on top of the green zone with 14.78%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) closed down 4.99% but posted the highest turnover of AED 31.69 million, while Dana Gas recorded the highest trading volume of 8.55 million shares, and closed on a 2.12% decline.

Meanwhile, ADNOC Distribution led the rising blue chips with 1.35%.
