ADX falls on Wednesday amid AED 233.5m turnover

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday 0.29% or 14.73 points lower at 5,080.79 points.

The market’s trading value amounted to AED 233.56 million while the trading volume reached 94.95 million shares traded through 1,912 transactions.

ADX’s telecom segment fell by 0.25%, while the energy and real estate instruments gained 2.04% and 0.62%, respectively.

Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (BILDCO) was the top faller with 6.06%, while Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) topped the risers with 14.87%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), down 1.06%, recorded the highest liquidity of AED 97.14 million, while TAQA was the most active stock on which 55.65 million shares were exchanged.
