Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Sunday on a low note, pressured by a wave of declines that hit several of its leading stocks.
The general index lost 0.77% or 34.6 points and closed at 4,446.57 points.
Dana Gas, which fell at its fastest drop rate in seven months, pressured the index after the stock slid 7.23% to AED 0.77.
Blue chip stock Etisalat also dropped 2.2% to AED 17.55, while Aldar Properties declined 1.72% to AED 2.28.
All leading sectors ended Sunday in the red, led by real estate and telecoms with 2.28% and 1.67%, respectively.
Six stocks closed in the green on Sunday, led by RAK Ceramics with 5.06%, BILDCO with 4.44%, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) with 1.6%, and Waha Capital with 1.17%.
Turnover on the ADX amounted to AED 285.30 million after 236.66 million shares changed hands through 1,898 transactions.
