Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bearish performance on Sunday, weighed down by the fall of energy and real estate stocks.
The general index fell 1.02% or 46.92 points to reach 4,570.24 points.
Trading volume reached 139.92 million shares on Sunday, compared to 63.65 million shares last Thursday. Turnover amounted to AED 226.836 million, compared to AED 194.57 milllion.
The energy sector led losers with a 4.24% decrease as Dana Gas and TAQA sank 4.55% and 3.39%, respectively.
The real estate sector fell 1.6% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties tumbled 2.68% and 1.36%, respectively.
The telecom sector retreated 1.13% due to a decrease in Etisalat by 1.13%.
The banks sector levelled down 1.01% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) lost 1.4% and 0.87%, respectively.
On the other hand, the industrial and consumer services sector rose 1.32% and 0.18%, respectively.
