Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed losses in Thursday’s early trades. The general index went down 0.32% or 14 points to reach 4,394.26 points by 10:55am UAE time.
Turnover reached AED 29 million after trading 16 million shares through 325 transactions.
The energy sector slid 1.4% due to a decline in Danna Gas by 1.8%. The telecom sector retreated 0.53% as Etisalat levelled down 0.53%, while the banks sector decreased 0.5%, weighed down by First Gulf Bank (FGB) which fell 0.82%.
On the flipside, the real estate sector gained 0.95% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties advanced 1.2% and 1.1% respectively.
Sudan Telecommunications Group was the best performer, rising 2% to AED 0.51, with a turnover of AED 153,000 generated from the exchange 300,000 shares.
RAK Properties, which declined 1.61%, was the most active stock with a trading volume of 4.3 million shares, with a turnover of AED 2.64 million.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) was the value leader after generating AED 9.3 million from the exchange of 1.51 million shares. However, ADCB’s stock slid 0.65%.
